How to wear smart joggers

The older I get, the more I want to be comfortable. But, I also want to look pulled together, vaguely smart and contemporary (it's not too much to ask is it?) Which is why smart joggers/ combat trousers are the perfect solution to your Spring style dilemmas...

Athleisure is now a firm fashion favourite and luxury joggers adorn the legs of some of the world's most stylish fashionistas. Feeling trussed up and uncomfortable just isn't 'in' anymore, especially now that joggers have been smartened up so much that they can be worn to work, parties or out to dinner.

A smart pair of joggers are not only stylish, they're also flattering, being cropped at the ankle to show off one of the slimmest parts of your body, whilst gently skimming your legs, rather than clinging to them.

DRESS THEM DOWN.....

Smart joggers are incredibly versatile. I love wearing the Amber satin pocket joggers with a Bailey mohair knit and Marlowe lace trim vest. The joggers have satin pockets on the side, and are an updated, grown-up version of combat trousers. The combination of these textures is gorgeous, whilst the luxury of the mohair and femininity of the lace soften the jogger shape. Wear this with trainers or sandals for a lovely laid-back look. You could also throw on the Hetty rollneck.

DRESS THEM UP.....

Throw on a blazer (the Shirley is a fantastic shape) or a smart shirt (the Valentina is very pretty) to instantly smarten up your outfit. Add heels or pointy ankle boots. If you're going out, the Marlowe lace trim vest looks incredible with the Amber joggers. Such a chic, stylish look.
